We want to curate a community where the common objective is a life well lived. Simply that.

Many clubs target social strata or focus on a niche. But with this community, we want to explore symbiotic interests and intersections of mixed experiences because we feel this is where the most complexity naturally arrizes. So whether a person is an adventure traveler, a philosopher, a writer, an artist, an actor, a designer, a surfer, a snowboarder, an entrepreneur or all of the above; here - trips are planned, introductions are made and collaborations start.

There is no cost of membership just a one time fee to cover the cost of vetting, interviewing and adding (or renewing) a member. The goal is to make membership accessible to any income bracket so that the focus is instead on keeping the bar for membership very high. We want people with a range of interesting pursuits and passions coming together. We want to keep this community small enough to be able to actually connect and do cool stuff on a local level, so we are opening spots by invitation, only a few at a time. We currently have ten spots.

There are three ways to join:

1: Apply: I am a Do-er, Entrepreneur, Adventurer, Artist, Writer etc…

2: Fund a project or trip: I want to be a Patron of Arts & Adventure.

3: Join as a visitor: Get to know the Strange Community (limited access).

Who are Strangers?

Our Strangers are entrepreneurs, active lifestyle athletes, musicians, writers, artists and makers. We cultivate an ecosystem of cross promotion, collaboration and symbiotic growth amongst our members.

We invite and accept a limited number of applicants so we can focus on each unique member. Strangers are a curated selection of people that run the gamut of interest and expression and bring something to the table that we want to celebrate and share with others.

The application is a three part process:

1: Fill out and submit the form, found HERE. Your application is thoughtfully reviewed by people not AI. Thank you for your time, we genuinely enjoy your answers!

2: If your application aligns, we will scheduled a FaceTime interview. This is just a quick hello so any final questions can be answered.

3: If you are approved we will email you (if you were invited and pre-vetted it almost certainly aligns but we still need this step so we can get to know you), there is a €300 once a year processing fee that is paid at that time to support staff and covers executive onboarding. Each year if you renew - this processing fee is the only cost. This allows us to add and update your profile in the community.

Upon payment your membership will be active in 24-48hrs and we will reach out to you to get you connected.

Security note!: Strangers is a private social club hosted here on Strange Travel which is owned by AeriMareTera.LLC (our publishing entity administering logistics). PMT links are generated using WISE, an international pmt option that will allow you to make a pmt with any visa and most credit cards. This wise-link will say AeriMareTera (our parent company). Who can become a Patron?

Some of us have reached a point of fulfillment in our lives where we enjoy enough success to look for ways that our resources can go further and do more. To us “enrichment” now means a life lived to the fullest. We are interested in meaning and experience. We want to join a vibrant, active community ecosystem as a patron for artists, creative collaborations, worthy projects and once in a lifetime adventures.

This is not a “pay to play” community of “The Miserable Rich”, we vet our Patrons carefully and there are limited spots. Patrons may not control projects or collaborations, to this end all Patron funds are pooled and allocated across community growth by Admin. Strange Patrons are active members of the Strange Community - deliberately building something magical in return for no special privileges, just a major life and ethos flex.

The application is a three part process:

3: If approved, €5000 is our Patron donation minimum, €8000 is the donation maximum.

Upon payment your membership will be active in 24-48hrs and we will reach out to you to get you connected. Your membership will be active for one year

STRANGE Visitors

Who are Visitors?

We have allocated some room for people to participate in our community on a temporary (month to month) basis. “Visitors” can meet the Strange Community and have access to join planned events within the current month, to shop member exclusives and to access exclusive content, articles and resources.

Visitors may also apply to be on the Strangers membership waitlist.

The application is a three part process:

2: If your application aligns, we will set up a FaceTime interview.

3: If approved, you will be sent a welcome message with a payment link. We charge a €80 fee that we pay directly to our support staff and to maintain the interview process. Upon payment, your month Visitorship will be active within 24-48 hrs.

Note: Each month that you are a Visitor, if you are invited to renew and wish to do so, you will pay an €80 processing fee - this is a manual process, it will not renew atomically. This allows us to maintain the logistics for including Visitors in the Strange Community.

Read Before Applying:

All Processing Fees and Patron Donations fare non-refundable. You must be comfortable enough financially that you wont need to be refunded. Why? Because we pay support staff with these fees immediately to onboard your membership and then, if you renew at the end of a year, we again pay our support staff again immediately to renew your membership. If you have already paid, then you have already interviewed with someone at an executive level and your access has been set up and that time is valuable. If we have to remove you from the community (see social contract and community guidelines) the fees are forfeit for pain and suffering.

Processing Fees do not cover cost for events, travel, trips, entry, or any other costs associated with community happenings that you may choose to attend. As a member, you decide what events you will participate in based on your interests and budget. The cost for each and any event will be apparent when you register for it, along with any tiered options and the cancelation policy for that particular event. By becoming a member you have the option to attend these events as you choose, according to your budget. We keep our member fees low so you can pick and choose!

There are three types of Strange Events: 1: Open to Public, 2: Bring a Guest, and 3: Exclusive Member Only. Only members of the Strange Community may attend Exclusive Strange Events. A Visitor may attend member exclusive events in their current month only, because their membership is month-to-month. They are unable to sign up for events that are coming up in future months.

Issues of poor behavior or harassment are met with review and potential expulsion: This is not a “bad-boys-club”. Members, Patrons and Visitors are subject to the same rules of conduct. You may be asked to pass a background check. Members may report other members for behavior that violates the Stranger social contract and community guidelines.

Nominations: If you are a member, you may nominate people for membership. They will still have to apply, but nominated applicants are advantaged in the review process. Please only nominate people you would vouch for, both personally and professionally. Please note: No one is entitled to membership.

Waitlist: We are a private network. We onboard and offer membership to a limited number of applicants per year, our motto is quality over quantity. If you are approved for membership, but there are no openings, you will be notified that you are waitlisted.

Definitely. If you join as a Visitor for a few months and then choose to apply for membership your application will be reviewed even while you are in “visitor status”. If there are no membership openings you will be waitlisted. You may have an advantage because we will be familiar with you already but membership is not guaranteed. Likewise, at anytime a member may apply to become a patron.
No. Processing Fees cover only the immediate processing of your Community Membership. Membership itself is free. This allows membership to be determined by merit rather than income level. Members may choose what Strange Events and Trips they have an interest in and a budget for, throughout the year.
As a Strange Visitor you can join on a month to month basis. You can cancel at anytime, and the next month will not be billed.
Strange Membership is a yearly membership and at the end of each year we will extend (or not) an invitation to renew your membership. At this time you may choose not to renew. We do not keep any payment information on file for yearly memberships.
A processing fee is charged yearly. This is paid to support staff immediately and therefore these fees are non-refundable.
